Equipment

This is one of six fly presses used for several purposes of which include studding, radiusing, punching and flattening. No computers involved on this one, it's a good old manual fly press

This is the pillar drill used for drilling holes, tapping and countersinking. It has adjustable bed height and adjustable speed, which can be changed by changing the belt. The chart on the wall tells us all the information about tools, sizes and general info on how to use a drill and to aid in the use of the machine.

This is the folder used for shaping and forming the material to any angle, we have two of these this is the computerised one - the computer is used to adjust the bed height and the fold and also the backstops.

This is the fork lift used to move the heavy loads and pallets of metal sheets we get for making the many products we do. As well as being able to move the forks up and down you can also move them sideways, you can also tilt the forks at an angle, this is useful for getting to awkward pallets.

This is the guillotine used for cutting metal sheets to size, it has electronic push button adjustable back stop as well as a fine tuning hand adjuster. You can adjust the height of the blade and the speed of the cut depending on the metal thickness.

This is the band saw used for cutting metal to size, it has automatic oil cooling and automatic stop. It has adjustable blades for aluminium and steel and adjustable backstop. It is used mostly for cutting steel bar and aluminium tubing.

This is a lathe used for many purposes but mostly used to add a thread to the steel bar we use in several jobs. It also helps us to clean up burrs and holes and to add fine touches to a job.

This is a milling machine, a fairly new purchase and has helped a great deal as it is capable of doing lots of different jobs, as it is computerised it allows us to do the job with great accuracy. It can drill, clean up holes and generally take off a small amount of metal. It is oil cooled and speed adjustable.

This is one of two spot welders used to weld a small spot so two pieces of metal fuse together ready for our welder to properly weld them, it makes his job easier as the metal wont be able to move, also making it a more accurate job. This spot welder is water cooled so is doesn't overheat.

This is the Shape machine used to cut the metal sheets that we use to make the products for our customers, it uses a variety of tools to cut the metal to the right shape.
